Windsor West Candidate Applicant | Who is Mark Lambert

Let's talk Tariffs

You can not look at one newspaper or social media post without seeing the ever changing tariffs.  The sooner we have an election the better.  Get new leadership in Canada.  Pierre Poilievre is that leader.  People call him a career politician, I say I would rather have someone who has dedicated his life to politics rather than have an outsider like we now have with the Liberal Party.

I hope to be nominated by you so that I can get to work, talking to local businesses, looking at protecting jobs but mostly to discuss diversifying our industries so we are not so reliant on the USA.

🚀 Windsor-Essex FIRST, Canada ALWAYS! 🚀

We must work together for solutions.  There has been a lot of negative news.  But when I am nominated, I will be proud to be your voice in Ottawa.  Windsor Essex will be hit directly by tariffs and we need someone who will work with their constituents in a majority Conservative Government.

MY KIDS CAN'T MOVE OUT

Remember the days when you graduated high school, went to College and lived in a dorm, worked part time, saved for a house?  Now we are lucky if our kids can move out by their 30’s.

YOUR KIDS AND THEIR MENTAL HEALTH

All kids should have the opportunity to play sports.  For their mental health and to keep them from hanging around with the wrong crowd

PLAYING SPORTS SAVED ME

I am so fortunate that I had police officers who offered to help kids in my neighbourhood.  They literally save kids from getting into crime.

GUN BAN BREAKING NEWS

My thoughts about the gun ban and how it effects, hunters, farmers, and sport shooters

As of February 27, 2025, Canada has implemented several significant measures regarding firearm regulations:

Expansion of Prohibited Firearms

On December 5, 2024, the Canadian government announced the prohibition of an additional 324 firearm models, classifying them as assault-style weapons unsuitable for civilian use.

This action builds upon a previous ban from May 2020, which initially targeted 1,500 firearm models and has since expanded to over 2,000. Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc emphasized that these firearms are intended for battlefields and should not be present in Canadian communities.

Collaboration with Ukraine

In conjunction with the expanded ban, Canada is exploring the possibility of donating the newly prohibited firearms to Ukraine to support its defense efforts against Russian aggression.

Defense Minister Bill Blair stated that Ukrainian authorities have expressed interest in receiving these weapons, and discussions are underway to facilitate the transfer.

Investment in Public Safety Initiatives

The government has also launched a call for proposals, investing up to $4.8 million to raise awareness about “Red flag” laws. These laws are designed to temporarily limit individuals’ access to firearms if they are deemed a risk to themselves or others. This initiative aims to enhance public understanding of the legal tools available to prevent firearms-related violence.

These developments reflect Canada’s ongoing commitment to strengthening gun control measures and addressing firearms-related violence through legislative actions and international cooperation.

IMPORTANCE OF FAITH AND FAMILY

Faith and family are the foundation of true leadership.

As an individual who will be a politician, respecting all religions and faiths is not just a duty—it’s a cornerstone of true leadership. I know that a diverse society thrives when leaders uphold freedom of belief and treat every faith with dignity. Whether someone prays in a church, mosque, synagogue, temple, or not at all, their beliefs shape their values, families, and communities. A great leader listens, learns, and fosters unity, ensuring that every citizen feels heard, valued, and protected, regardless of their faith. Respect isn’t just tolerance—it’s the foundation of a stronger, more united nation.

When running for office, I feel you should have a strong moral compass and unwavering values to guide every decision. Faith instills integrity, resilience, and a commitment to serving others, while family keeps a leader grounded, reminding them who they are fighting for. In politics, where principles are often tested, those who prioritize faith and family remain steadfast in their mission—standing up for their communities, protecting traditions, and ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
